  8. *** Installation ***

  10.     If you received this version of WinZip on a floppy disk please
  11.     follow the instructions on the disk label to install WinZip.
  12.  
  13.     If you received this version of WinZip in a self-extracting
  14.     ZIP file (for example, WINZIP95.EXE), you can install it as
  15.     follows:
  16.  
  17.     * On Windows 95:  select Run from the Taskbar Start menu, type
  18.       the full name of the file (e.g.,  C:\DNLOAD\WINZIP95.EXE),
  19.       press the Enter key, and follow the prompts.
  20.  
  21.     * On Windows 3.1 or Windows NT:  activate the Program Manager,
  22.       select Run from the File menu, type the full name of the
  23.       file (for example, C:\DNLOAD\WINZIP95.EXE), press the Enter
  24.       key, and follow the prompts.

  26.     If you received this version of WinZip in a ZIP file, first
  27.     extract the files to a blank floppy, then activate the Program
  28.     Manager, select Run from the File menu, type A:SETUP, press
  29.     the Enter key, and follow the prompts.

  31. *** Upgrade Instructions ***

  33.     Follow the installation instructions above.  You can install
  34.     this version of WinZip to the same location as a previously
  35.     installed copy of WinZip.

  39.     The Windows 3.1 version requires Windows 3.1 or Windows for
  40.     Workgroups.  The Win32 version requires Windows 95 or Windows
  41.     NT 3.51 or later.  Some optional features require external
  42.     programs.  See the documentation for details.

  46.     For full documentation, including context sensitive help,
  47.     press the F1 key at any time while running WinZip.

  51.     Windows 95 and NT users please read the section titled "WinZip
  52.     for Windows 95" or "WinZip for Windows NT" in the online help
  53.     for important notes on long filenames.

  55. *** Self-Extracting Archives ***

  57.     The evaluation "BBS" version of WinZip is distributed as a
  58.     Windows self-extracting archive.  You can use "WinZip
  59.     Self-Extractor", an optional add-on product, to create
  60.     self-extracting ZIP files.  You can download an evaluation
  61.     version of WinZip Self-Extractor from the WinZip home
  62.     page (www.winzip.com) or the GO WINZIP area on CompuServe.

  96.     Some files are distributed with a trailing underscore at the
  97.     end of the filename.  The SETUP program replaces the
  98.     underscore with the appropriate character.  For example,
  99.     WZ.PI_ becomes WZ.PIF.
